Cyber & Incident Response Consultant - Starters Academy

  • On-site, Hybrid
    • Amsterdam, Noord-Holland, Netherlands
  • €3,300 - €3,300 per month

Job description

Are you a real tech detective? Do you thrive on unraveling cyberattacks and cracking complex technical puzzles? Ready to take on high-stakes incident response cases? Then quickly investigate whether this role might be something for you!

What you’ll be doing as a Cyber & incident response consultant

As a Cyber & Incident Response consultant in our Starters Academy, you'll be deployed as a cyber troubleshooter when organizations are hit by serious attacks. Think large-scale hacks like the one targeting Maastricht University. In these crisis moments, you jump into action as the expert who brings clarity to chaos. In such crisis situations, you are the expert who brings order to the chaos. You dive into the technical details to map out the full scope of the cyberattack. How did the hackers gain access to the systems? Which vulnerabilities were exploited? What data has been compromised or stolen? What are the immediate risks and how can we prevent further damage? In these high-pressure situations, when complete IT infrastructures are down, you’re the puzzle-solver who gets to the truth.

You’ll also explore the world of digital forensics and evidence discovery. You'll work on complex investigations into fraud, cartel behavior and corruption - cases that often hit the headlines. Your technical skills will help uncover critical pieces of digital evidence - the smoking gun that could turn a case around.Your work begins at the source: forensically securing digital data. You seize laptops, smartphones, servers, and other IT equipment and perform forensic data extraction to gather all relevant information.

With advanced forensic software and your own technical skills, you analyse these datasets to penetrate to the core of complex cases. You'll quickly learn how to search through, filter, and forensically analyse millions of files using cutting-edge technology and algorithms.

Besides these technically challenging client assignments, you'll also work on internal projects to further develop yourself and the company. At Forcyd, you'll get the chance to grow rapidly in a field that's constantly evolving!

The Starters Academy

When you join us, you’ll kick off with a four-week bootcamp designed to fully prepare you for your role. No dry theory- just immersive training, hands-on experience and deep dives into digital evidence, legal technology and forensic data analysis.

After this high-impact start, you’ll continue your development in our two-year growth program, designed specifically for (young) professionals. Together with your training group, you’ll take part in coaching, peer learning and workshops focused on personal and professional skills. You won’t just become an expert in your field, you’ll become a confident professional who makes a real impact.
